happy schmappy valentines day!

Yep, that's right...the day you confess your undying loooooove to your hubby/boyfriend/secret crush. So good luck with that.

It's also the day when you stuff yourself full of chocolates while snuggling on the couch with a giant stuffed bear, watching sappy old movies like "An Affair to Remember" or "Sleepless in Seattle". Good luck with that, too

I have to work tonight. Bob won't be home until I have to leave. We will see each other for about 10 minutes on Valentines day...thank you very much rooms to go!!!

On a happier note, Oliver and I have a new game. I lay on my back and put my knees up. He sits on my feet with his chest on my legs. I lift my legs up and down and he just squeals and giggles the whole time. We call it "flying". He loves it!!

He ate up all his bites today again. I made more today than I did yesterday and he sat up in his chair and ate them all up. He will even open his mouth for the spoon now!!

He's been napping in his bed for the last few days, but still won't sleep there at night. I tried last night and every time I put him in the bed he'd wake up and want to play. AAH!! I was so tired and frustrated that after 3 tries I again let him sleep in our bed. I tried though, I really did. I even let him fuss for longer this time than last time to see if he'd settle himself. It didn't work. (Rachael, if you are reading this, then in your head it should sound like geordi in that game...hehehehe)

We get our new mattress tomorrow!! I'm so excited but then I realized we still have no sheets for it. Maybe that's what I'll use my money for. I dunno, we'll see.

stupid upgrade

I couldn't log in to post this without upgrading to the "new blogger". So now hopefully it will just leave me alone about it already!

Gerber baby...

Isn't this the perfect Gerber Baby face??

a few pictures...

Oliver is getting very independent. He likes to hold the bottle when he eats, and tries to take the spoon when I give him bites. (we call cereal "bites") We're giving him bites twice a day now!!
Here is Oliver reading the instructions to ...his new high chair!! It's actually a portable one - it straps to a regular chair - but we thought it would be ok to use all the time. We're also going to use it to help him learn to sit up. Hooray for multi-use items!!
Here's a front view.
Here is Oliver playing peacefully in his exersaucer while Jasper "guards" him to make sure he's ok. Some guard dog, huh?
