he can feed himself!

Look! he;s holding it in his thumb and finger!

He got it to his mouth too. He's getting very good at grabbing the little banana puff things and feeding himself.

it's gone!

I went to look for breathable crib bumpers at USA Baby, but it was gone! It looked like it had been gone for a while. The last time we went there was when we were crib shopping and they were not very nice to us so we hadn't been back. Maybe that's why they went out of business. So instead we went to the new Dollar Tree that was right there. It was HUGE. They had EVERYTHING! I got a picture frame, a onsie, and some snack bowls with lids for Oliver. It was neat because they had all kinds of cute shirts and stuff for kids. No clothespins though. I can't find those anywhere. After we left there we went to Hamrick's since it's right there but their infant department is very pathetic. They only had a few outfits and nothing that I'd really put Oliver in. Oh well. We were out for a few hours so that was a few less hours to hang out all alone at the house.

Bob got up at 5 to get ready to leave for Atlanta. He got there around 11:30. I guess everything went well, I will see tonight when he calls me from the hotel.

teething...I think so!!

I'm pretty sure that Oliver is getting his top teeth in VERY soon. We've been using this (thanks Birch and Gretchen) and these (Thanks Uncle Hedgehog) and today I gave him one of these. I'm not sure if they are "developmentally appropriate" for him but he actually did very well with it. The video has no sound because I did it with the camera, not the video camera. In fact, that's why none of my videos have sounds. Sorry.
Anyway, he skipped his morning nap again today. I guess he's grown out of it. It's sad though because that meant that I could sleep in a little bit. He sleeps very well though - he was in his bed from about 10:30 until 5:30. He woke up about 5 and was playing (not very quietly) and having a good time. After about 30 minutes he got frustrated and started fussing so I went and got him. He slept in the bed with us until 8. Not too bad but I was still tired.

update, please!

It's been a busy weekend so I haven't really had a chance to post. Bob put in the new ductwork and whatever in the bathroom today. I took a much needed nap. I actually vacuumed the living room and did 4 loads of laundry before I took a nap, but the nap was the best part of the day.

Oliver has been very grumpy lately! He cries and cries when he doesn't want to go to sleep. He get so tired - it's really cute when he rubs his eyes. When it comes time to actually go to sleep he screams and squirms until he's exhausted. Today after about an hour of him screaming and crying I finally got him to sleep. 15 minutes later a firetruck or something drove by with sirens blaring and woke the poor guy up. Nothing I did could make him go back to sleep. He was fine for the rest of the afternoon - not too grumpy or anything - so maybe he didn't really need that extra hour of sleep? I think he did, but we'll see tomorrow.

I'm off work for the next three days! Bob has to go to Atlanta to get his van inspected and pick up the new GPS's that they are giving all the techs. Fun fun! I'll be home all alone for a few days. I'm not sure what I'll be doing during that time, but hopefully it will pass pretty quickly.
