Is that right?

Am I the only person whose pediatrician said not to try meat until Oliver's 9 month appointment? Most of the stage 3 foods have meat so we are sticking with stage 2 for now. We've also been giving him real food...steamed carrots, bananas, kiwi (not the seeds!), mashed potatos, mango. Oliver's 9 month appointment isn't until slightly after his 10 month birthday. Should I go ahead and try some meat?

Braeden's been eating meat since he was 7 months old, starting with half a 2 1/2 oz. jar. Our pediatrician said meat was fine after his 6-month appointment, although we waited awhile. He still loves his meat, and #2 simple dinners (like sweet potato and turkey). He does not like the #3 dinners, I think because they've got huge chunks of veggies and meat and it's too much chewing, and all those dinners have carrots as the #1 ingredient (carrots don't agree with his tummy so that's a problem) although he's eaten "real mashed potatoes, peas, pasta, bread, and finger food puffs. Yeah, I'd go ahead and try some meat, but if you're really in doubt give the pediatrician's office a call and ask them.

Did you ask his peed why he can't eat meat yet? I started giving my little one meat when he was 7 months. maybe you could try just a bit and observe if olover will have any negative reactions.
