vaccines...good or bad?

I was reading about vaccines at Adventures in Babywearing. Needless to say I am quite concerned! We were never informed that we had a choice about getting the vaccines. Then again, maybe we don't have a choice! Also, the vaccines can be more harmful than the disease they are supposed to prevent...and sometimes they don't even work! Mercury/Thimerosol in vaccines has been linked to autism and other neurological disorders. Check out the National Vaccine Information Center site for more information.

Do something about it!!!

It's scary when you look into it, isn't it. We don't really have a choice here in Oz either, well actually we DO but nobody knows that they can say no. And if you want to qualify for some of the government benefits for childcare costs you have to have your child immunised, unless you sign a 'conscientious objector' form (which nobody tells you about).

Some might cause such disorders yet some others aren't.

As parents, we have to be smart in making decisions for our beloved children.

BTW, you're tagged.

There is growing evidence that vaccinations are not providing the protection that they are touted to provide. For example, all cases of polio occurring after the introduction of the polio vaccine have been traced to the vaccine itself. Other vaccines, such as those for diphtheria and pertussus, have been shown to have high failure rates.

Convinced that victory over the major childhood infectious diseases was secondary to vaccine programs, public health officials began to add more diseases to the "must vaccinate" list. Present vaccination programs are exposing children to as many as 22 inoculations before they attend school. Here are some of the more popular:
haemophilus influenza type b
hepatitis B
measles
mumps
chickenpox
DTaP

Be warned: More are being proposed! Learn more about vaccines now.
